Briefing session on Budget 2014 for the construction sector

Following the Budget 2014, SCAL has initiated a briefing by various Government ministries and agencies to help Members understand the new policies and incentives that will affect the construction industry.  Through this briefing, business owners can seek clarification and better understand the following issues that may be raised during the session:

1.    Extension of the Productivity and Innovation Credit (PIC) scheme

2.    Info-Comm Technologies for Productivity and Growth (IPG) programme

3.    Foreign Worker Levies

4.    Market-Based Skills Recognition Framework

5.    Extension of Maximum Period of Employment

6.    Upstream Measures to Tackle Productivity

SCAL has invited the Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Finance, Building & Construction Authority, and Infocomm Development Authority to present their respective policies and schemes in particular to the construction industry.  After their presentations, Members are invited to raise any questions they may have towards the Budget 2014 during the Q&A session.
