The Foreign Manpower Management Division (FMMD) of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is holding a briefing session on the Temporary Job Scheme (TJS) for prospective employers in the construction sector. TJS is a scheme to facilitate temporary employment of foreigners who are required to remain in Singapore for investigation purposes, or to act as prosecution witnesses.
Employers can recruit TJS workers either on their own or through the four MOM-appointed Employment Agencies (EAs). Employers of TJS workers will not be required to furnish Security Bond or bear the repatriation cost, but only need to bear the costs related to the work permit application, medical insurance, levy bond, foreign worker levy and Employment Agencies’ fees (if applicable).
SCAL members who wish to find out more details or seek any clarification from MOM may attend the free Briefing:
On 16 May 2014 (Friday) from 2 to 4pm
