The government has launched the BIM e-submission mandate in 2011, as part of its goal to increase productivity in the Construction industry, using technology. This has dynamically changed and re-defined the way Design Consultants and Contractors communicate and work together.
To help our members through technology transitions, SCAL is partnering with Autodesk in a series of 3 seminars, to explain topics covering pre-construction, collaboration, fabrication & field management. For this third seminar, it will focus on how companies can improve construction productivity in the field.
This coming seminar will cover the entire workflow from Pre-Construction, Construction to Field Management. The seminar will start with an introduction of pre-construction, followed by a showcase/demo of technology for layout and navigation (for example: stakeout, as-built verification and quality checking) and concluding with Field Management tools, where a combination of mobile technologies allows more efficient QA/QC tasks to be completed at the construction site, allowing seamless collaboration and reporting for all types of contractors.
BCA will also be going through the details of Mechanisation Credit scheme, for example, the type of equipment that can be supported by the scheme, the mechanism to claim the incentive and the selection criterion.
As seats are limited, registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please send in your application as soon as possible. We look forward to your presence and participation at the coming seminar.
