Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) Hygiene Monitoring Initiative

As part of a community initiative to increase levels of public hygiene, Temasek Foundation is seeking for interested companies to receive Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) hygiene monitoring sets valued at S$10,000 each which includes 1 ATP reader and 2,000 swabs.

As the energy molecule in all living matter, ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is an indicator of surface cleanliness (microbes, food residue, skin cells etc).

Companies will be able to check for surface cleanliness after their cleaning regime has taken place, so as to improve the rigour/process if necessary; and provide an added level of assurance for premise users.

Training as pre-requisite

  1. Before receiving their sets, organisations are required to attend a short briefing session (1 hour) on the initiative.

Briefing sessions are scheduled on:

Thurs 5 Nov

Tue 10 Nov

Wed 11 Nov

  1. Organisations are also required to attend a one day training course by Nanyang Polytechnic on basic hygiene monitoring.
  1. The course fee is S$185/Pax (before GST) and up to 90% SkillsFuture subsidy is available for Singaporeans and PRs.

Follow-ups by receiving Companies

  1. Companies should use the sets received to monitor the efficacy of their cleaning regimes.
  1. Companies are to provide an update to Temasek at 6 month mark on the benefits of usage (enhanced cleanliness standards), and share feedback on general improvements in hygiene assurance on the premises.

To participant in the initiative, interested companies can register at this link by 3 November 2020 (Tues) on a first come first serve basis due to the limited numbers of ATP hygiene monitoring sets.
