CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SCAL COVID-19 FUND
The Singapore Contractors Association (SCAL) has launched the SCAL COVID-19 Fund to help the construction sector tide through COVID-19. The Fund aims to provide eligible companies with relief to ease their financial difficulties, particularly during this Circuit Breaker period where companies continue to incur operation costs, and expenses associated with taking care of their foreign employees placed under Stay-Home Notice (SHN).
To be eligible for support under the SCAL Covid-19 Fund, the firm must be a SME1 SCAL member (Ordinary/Associate/Trade member) or registered under the Singapore List of Trade Subcontractors (SLOTS) registration scheme as at 1 April 2020. The firm will also be assessed on its financial difficulty. Eligible companies can receive a one-time support capped at $2,500 based on its local and foreign employee headcount.
SCAL is setting a target to raise more than $1 million through contributions from members, the Building and Construction Authority, and by working with Enterprise Singapore to tap on the SG Together Enhancing Enterprise Resilience (STEER) programme.
We are now calling for contributions from members to the SCAL COVID-19 Fund. Your generous support will go a long way in helping fellow members remain in business as part of an important link in the construction value chain.
To contribute, simply send a cheque made payable to The Singapore Contractors Association Ltd with the name of your company, contact details, and “SCAL COVID-19 Fund” indicated clearly at the back of the cheque, and mail it to Construction House, 1 Bukit Merah Lane 2, Singapore 159760.
For more information and enquiries, please contact us at telephone number 6278 9577 or e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to your generous support towards the SCAL COVID-19 Fund.
