The Singapore Management University has been in the forefront of constructing energy efficient buildings. The entire campus is Green Mark Platinum certified. Notably, the SMU School of Law has won the Energy Efficient Buildings Award at the 2018 ASEAN Energy Awards for Sustainability. You may refer to the article below on some of the energy efficient features of the award-winning SMU building

SCAL is pleased to organise a green building tour to SMU to gain first hand knowledge on implementation of green and sustainable features. These include use of ultraviolet and electronic air filters for air handling units (AHUs), high efficiency chilled water Fan Coil Units (FCUs), computer room air-handling units for IT rooms and data centres. In particular, the SMU School of Law building also features the enhanced passive displacement cooling units, a cooling system with no fans, installed at the food and beverage space.
