SCAL Technology Symposium 2023

New physical and digital tools can vastly improve productivity and efficiency to deliver project outcomes that are safer, more sustainable, and cost-effective. But procuring and adopting these tools present new challenges to contractors—from investment to training and continuous improvement.

SCAL is proud to present the 2023 SCAL Technology Symposium — a meeting of minds and ideas for the future of technology in construction. This event features two important and timely themes.

  • Theme 1: Cultivating a Technology Culture for Contractors focused on encouraging discussion on lessons learned from the past two years of rapid technology adoption for contractors and the road ahead; the emphasis is less on adopting technology and more of adopting the right culture and attitude, without which technology adoption is useless and won't yield the intended outcomes/benefits.

  • Theme 2:  Achieving Green & Sustainable Construction with Technology focused on contractors using technology to achieve sustainability in a way that helps the bottom line as well: using greener materials and building methods to save time, effort, and resources. Discussion would centre on technologies, processes, and materials for more sustainable and environmentally-friendly construction and how contractors can step up their sustainability efforts.
These questions and more will be explored and discussed at the 2023 SCAL Technology Symposium, to be held in collaboration with BuildTech Asia 2023 at the Singapore Expo (Hall 3) on March 29th 2023, 2pm.

The event is fully booked and we are no longer accepting any registration / interest to join waitlist.

2.10 PM Culture and DNA :  Building Sustainability in Digital and Technology ( D&T)

Digital and technology adoption is ubiquitous today. It permeates our daily lives and influences the way we live, work and play. Companies that embrace this and embed digital transformation as an intrinsic part of their DNA and culture are at the forefront of their industry. And if the conditions for success are right, the passion for it can be combustible and spread like wildfire across the organisation. This paper examines the innovative ways in which companies in the construction sector have adopted digitalisation and made it a way of life. It addresses safety, construction technology, data use and analysis, as well as the technology of the future.
