Building It Before We Build It - Making Digital Models Work for Construction
Presentation Synopsis:
Digital models are increasingly part of everyday construction projects, yet their value is only realized when they help teams build more confidently on site. This presentation shares Wee Hur’s experience in using Virtual Mock ups as a construction planning aid beyond traditional BIM coordination. From a contractor’s point of view, the session discusses how Virtual Mock ups are used to review constructability, sequence works and align multiple trades before site execution. The presentation deliberately focuses on lessons learnt, practical tradeoffs, and on the ground realities, rather than ideal workflows. Emphasis is placed on people, training, and organizational readiness in supporting more effective digital delivery.
