In line with Singapore’s increasing emphasis on sustainability in the Built Environment sector, the government have implemented new requirements from 31 January 2025, where 5% of the tender evaluation score for large public sector construction projects will be allocated to sustainability-related criteria. This move underscores the national push towards more environmentally responsible construction practices.
In support of this direction, SCAL will be giving new recognition to construction companies that have demonstrated strong commitment in areas such as decarbonisation, GHG emissions management, and the adoption of innovative green practices. This initiative also seeks to encourage early adoption of sustainable solutions and align industry efforts with the national goals set out in the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and the Net Zero 2050 vision.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, the innovative solution/technology must satisfy the following conditions:

Companies should receive at least 3 years of GGBS Star for the past 5 years (from 2021 to 30th June 2025)
