This presentation explores how The GEAR by Kajima (“The GEAR”), Kajima’s innovation subsidiary in Singapore, bridges technology, industry and the local innovation ecosystem to accelerate the adoption of emerging and sustainable solutions in the built environment. The session will share The GEAR’s approach to bringing technologies from concept towards real-world application through local adaptation, demonstration and collaboration with industry partners, startups and research institutions. Examples will touch on the deployment of solutions such as hybrid cooling system, participation in local sustainability and living-lab initiatives, and collaborations with emerging technology companies in areas such as sustainable construction and concrete. Through these examples, the presentation will highlight the role of an innovation subsidiary in connecting technology development with local needs, enabling practical validation and creating pathways towards wider industry adoption
