Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to STEC) was established in 1965, in 1993, the company was restructured into joint-stock enterprise, and became the first joint-stock company listed in the national construction industry. STEC originated in the soft soil tunnelling, after five important development phases, eventually, it has formed the "three plus one" multi-core development pattern, including the large-scale municipal projects construction, advanced machine manufacturing, investment, municipal works maintenance and engineering consulting. Currently, STEC is the unique company which owns the capacity of tunnel construction and construction equipments manufacturing in the world.
